Our Continental Footprint

Africa Is Not One Market.

It is a connected landscape of regions, sectors, cultures, regulations, opportunities, and growth conditions. Cabanga Africa Group was built to understand this complexity. Our work spans Southern Africa, East Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, North Africa, Angola, Mozambique, and the Horn of Africa.

Frequently Asked

Circulation and Reach

A garden gate with a wall-mounted post box: a subscriber lifts out the new issue in front of the house.
Which African countries does Cabanga circulate in?

Twenty-four. Circulation runs through the twelve regional editions, each covering its own market or group of markets, from South Africa to North Africa.

What is the difference between circulation and reach?

Circulation is where the magazines are distributed - 24 countries. Reach is where editorial leadership and contributors are drawn from - 28 countries.

Which magazine serves my country?

Each of the twelve editions serves a named market. Every edition’s profile on the Our Magazines page names the market it serves.

Can one advertisement run in every country?

Yes. All twelve editions share one page specification, so a single set of artwork runs unaltered in any edition or in all twelve at once.

How To Read The Three Numbers

Step 01Twelve operating markets

Twelve is the number of operating markets. Each has its own edition, its own masthead and its own editorial leadership.

Step 02Twenty-four countries of circulation

Twenty-four is the number of countries of circulation. This is where the editions are distributed, which is wider than where they are produced.

Step 03Twenty-eight countries of reach

Twenty-eight is the number of countries of reach. This is where editorial leadership and contributors are drawn from, and it is the widest of the three.

Step 04Three numbers, never swapped

The three numbers are not interchangeable, and Cabanga does not report the largest one as though it were the smallest. A media buyer should price against twelve and twenty-four.
