Questions

Publication Questions

How many publications does Cabanga Africa Group publish?

Twelve regional business magazines covering 24 African countries.

Which magazine covers my market?

Cabanga covers South Africa and Eswatini; Kufunga Zimbabwe; Moakanyi Botswana and Lesotho; Dhiladhila Namibia; Fikiria East Africa; Ganizo Zambia and Malawi; Hleketa Mozambique; Ironu Nigeria and West Africa; Kanisa the Democratic Republic of Congo; Mufakir North Africa; Okusima Angola; and Yaada Ethiopia, Chad, Eritrea and Somalia.

What do the magazine names mean?

Each title is named in a language of the region it serves. Cabanga is Nguni for “to think” and Kufunga is Shona for “to plan deliberately.” The naming carries the founding conviction that Africa must think for itself.

Does advertising influence what the magazines publish?

No. Advertising never determines editorial conclusions. Sponsored and partner content is labelled at the top of the piece, and a client of the Group’s commercial divisions receives no editorial preference. The full standard is set out in the editorial policy.

How do I advertise or contribute to a title?

Email info@cabanga.africa for advertising and partnership enquiries, or editorial@cabanga.africa for contributor submissions and corrections.

How To Choose Between The Editions

  1. Start with the market you trade in. Each edition is written for a named territory and reads differently because of it.
  2. If you trade across a border, take the neighbouring edition as well. Regional clusters are how most cross-border businesses read us.
  3. If you are advertising rather than reading, the choice is the same one - the rate is identical in every edition, so buy the market, not the discount.
