Write For
The Thinkership.

Cabanga Africa Group is opening its pages to the people who actually run African business. If you lead in your industry and you have something worth saying to more than 15,000 decision-makers across 24 countries, we would like to hear from you.

In short

We publish contributed writing from industry leaders, operators and specialists - held to the same editorial standard as everything else we print.

  • Reach a pan-African business audience across 12 regional editions.
  • Your byline, your authority - carried under a credible, independent masthead.
  • Every piece is edited to the Cabanga standard. We do not run marketing copy dressed as journalism.
  • No fee to contribute. What you gain is reach and standing, not an invoice.
  • Apply below, or write to us directly at editorial@cabanga.africa.
01 · Who We Are Looking For

Operators, Not Commentators

The strongest business writing comes from people who have done the thing, not people who have only read about it. We are looking for founders, executives, technical principals, investors, policy specialists and advisers who can explain how their corner of African business actually works - and what a reader should do differently because of it.

Founders and managing directors
Sector and technical specialists
Investors and dealmakers
Economists and policy analysts
Advisers and consultants
Institutional and industry leaders

You do not need to be a professional writer. You need to know something worth knowing, and be willing to have it edited to a standard.

02 · The Standard

What Gets Published, And Why

Everything Cabanga publishes is governed by our editorial policy. Contributed work is held to it without exception. In practice that means five things, and they are not negotiable.

01
Accuracy. Claims are checked. Figures are sourced. We correct openly when we get something wrong.
02
Fair representation. People and businesses are represented honestly, with a right of reply where it is owed.
03
Independence. Conclusions are yours and ours - never an advertiser's. Commercial relationships do not shape editorial.
04
Relevance. A piece must answer a real question a business reader is holding, and leave them able to act.
05
Responsibility. We write about a continent we take seriously, for readers who make decisions on what we print.
The full standard, including how we handle corrections and the firewall between editorial and advertising, is on our editorial policy page.
03 · What You Get

Reach And Standing

A byline in Cabanga is not a favour we do you, and it is not a favour you do us. It is an exchange. You bring the expertise; we bring the audience and the credibility of an independent business masthead.

  1. Distribution across the network - 12 regional editions, read across 24 African countries.
  2. Your name and title carried under a masthead that business readers already trust to be independent.
  3. Association with a body of work read by owners, executives and investors - the people you most want to be seen by.
  4. Professional editing. We make your thinking read as well as it deserves to, without changing what you meant.

There is no fee to contribute, and contribution is not advertising. If you want to buy visibility, the advertising page is the honest route for that. This page is for editorial.

04 · What We Ask

Conditions Of Publication

So that we can say yes quickly, know this going in:

  1. The work is original and yours, and has not run elsewhere without disclosure.
  2. Any commercial interest you hold in the subject is declared to us up front.
  3. You accept editing to the Cabanga standard, and factual checking before publication.
  4. The aim is to inform a business decision, not to sell a product. Promotional pieces are declined, not edited into shape.
