From Manuscript To Launch
Seven stages. You come in at whichever one your book has reached. Open any stage to see what happens in it.
Stage 1The Conversation
We meet you, take the brief and agree what the book has to do and who it is for. For a book written with you, this is where the interviews begin.
Stage 2The Manuscript
Written with you, built with you from your drafts, or received finished. The chapter plan is agreed before the writing is locked.
Stage 3Editing
Structural edit, copy-edit and proofread, to the same standard our magazines are held to. You approve the final text.
Stage 4Cover And Typesetting
The cover is designed and the interior set for print, eBook and, where chosen, audiobook production.
Stage 5Registration And Production
ISBN registration and deposit where chosen, printed proofs approved, and the run produced.
Stage 6Distribution
Onto the Bookshelf and across the Cabanga network, into your own channels, or both.
Stage 7Launch And Visibility
Marketing, a PR campaign with coverage and interviews, and a launch event, as you choose them.

What is the Bookshelf?
The Bookshelf is the cultural section that runs in every one of the twelve Cabanga Africa Group editions, covering books, music, film and literature. It is also this page: a shelf of the books Cabanga has published, and the place to start a book of your own.
What kinds of books does Cabanga publish?
Non-fiction only, in four kinds: business books, memoirs, autobiographies and biographies. Fiction, poetry and other genres sit outside the list.
Can Cabanga write my book with me?
Yes. We interview you and write the book in your voice, or build the manuscript with you from notes and drafts through structure and developmental editing. If the manuscript is finished, we edit, design and produce it.
My book is already published. Can you still help?
Yes. We distribute published books through the Cabanga network and the Bookshelf, and run marketing campaigns, PR campaigns and book launches for them.
