The Foundation

Founded To Think

The Kufunga Foundation was founded on Saturday 5 September 2015 as a thought-driven developmental organisation for Zimbabwe and beyond. Kufunga means to think. It is the corporate social responsibility arm of Cabanga Africa Group, and it carries the Group's belief into the community: that people, families and institutions change when they learn to think clearly about themselves and their work.

Diagnostic And Development

Diagnosis Before Prescription

Three instruments read as one diagnostic suite: the internal condition first, then decision behaviour, then fit.

The Engagement

Five Phases, One System

The instruments are the way in, not the end product. What the Foundation delivers is an engagement, run for individuals, families, companies, churches and faith-based organisations, and NGOs and civil society - with confidential individual reports and, for institutions, an aggregate report agreed up front.

A team of seven around a long meeting table, with a chart on the wall and papers being handed across.
Phase 01Assessment

Each participant takes the instruments that apply.

Phase 02Interpretation

The results are read against one another, not in isolation.

Phase 03Diagnosis

The pattern is named before anything is prescribed.

Phase 04Intervention

Guided development, training and team work aimed at the diagnosis.

Phase 05Reassessment

The instruments are taken again to measure the change.

Pinda

Come Into The World Of Code

Pinda is the Foundation's free developer platform. Pinda is Shona for "come in" - the answer to a knock at the door. It holds a library of 4,000 copy-and-run snippets in Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and an eight-module course that takes a beginner to junior full-stack developer. There is no account and no fee: the knowledge is not hoarded.

Team Building

Teams That Think Together

The Foundation runs team building as training and activity together: communication, strategy, operations, sales and everything else it takes to build a team that works. Programmes run for companies, churches, NGOs and institutions, on site or off site.
